Ipswich – CEF

RMR undertook many projects for City Electrical Factors and their subsidiaries. This involved construction of new warehouses, trade counters and industrial units for them. We undertook nearly £10,000,000 worth of work with them over 2 years.

We were design & build contractors for the client and undertook work from site clearance to completion, including all fitting out.

All projects were delivered on time and within budget.

Our site managers, appointed to every project, worked closely with the local community to ensure neighbours knew who to contact if a problem arose, all sites were secured with perimeter fencing/hoarding to ensure safe working sites.

The Ipswich project consisted of two phases, the first phase was to construct the unloading bays which included all foundations, walls, roof and roller shutter doors. This was constructed on an existing car parking area and connected to the existing main building.

The second phase was to construct a 35m wide x 70m long storage and distribution unit, this works
involved site clearance of the land, foundations, external roof and walls, internal concrete floors, external concrete and parking areas, loading bays with dock levellers, internal mezzanine floors, toilet & washing facilities, and office areas.

Total project value £5.5 million.
